O' Sullivan raises concerns about IDA backed Viagogo jobs in Dáil

Labour TD Jan O 'Sullivan has raised concerns about 275 IDA backed jobs in Limerick during the debate on the ticket touting bill in the Dáil.

Deputy O'Sullivan, Labour Party Spokesperson on Business, Enterprise and Innovation says she fully supports the purpose of the legislation but is worried about how the bill will affect jobs at Viagogo in Castletroy.

The Limerick T.D said:

" I am not saying that I want to endorse the resale of tickets at inflated prices, which is essentially what this Bill is trying to address but I want to put my concern for these jobs on the record".

"I fully support the general purpose of the legislation and condemn those who hang around outside venues, pushing people out of tyhe way so that they can sell tickets at inflated prices".

Deputy O'Sullivan continued:

"However Viagogo employ 275 people whose jobs would be at risk if this legislation is not amended at committee stage".
